Program Overview
Aerospace Engineering
This aerospace engineering summer program in Rome runs for two weeks and is designed for students aged 15 to 18. Designed for students passionate about space exploration, aviation and engineering. Hosted at Università Sapienza’s School of Aerospace Engineering in Rome, whose graduates work at the Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency. Participants design and build their own rocket prototype, culminating in a rocket launch experience.
The program takes place in Rome at the facilities of the School of Aerospace Engineering, one of Europe’s most historic institutions dedicated to aerospace research and education. Founded in 1926, the school celebrates 100 years of aerospace innovation and has trained generations of engineers who now work across Italy’s aerospace sector, including ASI and ESA. Students experience a real academic environment at the heart of Italy’s aerospace ecosystem, while discovering the cultural richness of one of the world’s most iconic cities.
Why This Matters
- Founded in 1926, it is one of Europe’s most historic institutions dedicated to aerospace research and education.
